Just a few blocks away, you can stroll to nearby Sisson Meadows, a small nearby neighborhood wetlands park (with what we call the “million dollar view”) ,  or meander 3 blocks to downtown’s charming main street or simply walk across the street and visit the friendly staffed county Library.

headwater of Sacramento

No visit to Mt. Shasta is complete without a visit to City Park and drawing water from the fresh and world-famous natural spring, the source of the Sacramento. Bring an empty bottle!

Staying at Angel House you will have easy access up the mountain and it conveniently situated for all summer and winter activities… and only a 5 minute drive from the ‘you must visit’ City Park,  headwaters source of the Sacramento River.  Take an empty bottle to get some of  its world-famous  high quality clean and pure water coming out of the fresh underground Mt. Shasta aquifer.

The area has many places to visit and activities like cross-country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking … fishing, sailing and swimming in nearby lakes. There are two nine-hole, and two eighteen hole golf courses. A really cool and educational outing for the kids is the Fish Hatchery. And don’t miss Sisson Museum with its revolving displays and exhibits and railroad nostalgia.

And at Angel House, you will be nearby to shopping, fine restaurants and even our local golf resort at the Mt. Shasta Resort. There you will find our own unique golf pro Mr Rod, the harmonica man who weekly on Taco Tuesday plays music at the Resort with the infamous and  professional music of Jimmy Limo.

For the really adventurous, climb 14,162 feet to the summit of Mt. Shasta or of course  …..   just relax in the splendor of its view.

Beautiful Lake Siskiyou and our new “walking bridge”

Just minutes away, you will find beautiful Lake Siskiyou, a 430 acre lake boasting a wooded and grassy shoreline with the water surface reflecting beautiful Mount Shasta. Fresh water streams feed the lake, keeping its level constant. The lake offers superb fishing, sailing and swimming. There is a path you can walk all around the lake and you can use the very beautifully designed new Lake Siskiyou footbridge… take your cameras!

There are 2 parking spaces in driveway and during summer easy on street parking (during winter you can park on street but be aware of snowplow restrictions!)
